Burst main leaves Barton Seagrave without water

Residents in Barton Seagrave have woken up to very low water pressure or no water at all this morning (Tuesday, September 29).

Anglian Water, the region's water supplier, said there is a burst water main that they are working to fix.

In an alert on their website from 7.20am this morning, Anglian Water said: "We're really sorry but some customers in Barton Seagrave may have very low water pressure or no water at all.

"We've identified a burst water main in your area that we're working hard to get fixed, so that we can get your supply back to normal as soon as possible."

The company estimates the issue can be fixed by 4pm today having earlier said it was hoping to restore the water supply by 1pm.

The burst water main appears to be by the bridge in Barton Road near Wicksteed Park. There are several Anglian Water vans in the Wicksteed Park entrance.

Latimer Community Arts College has closed for students today as the school has no water.
