Bozeat school celebrates Brazilian carnival

Bozeat Primary School pupils have been learning about South America and the rainforest this term.

To celebrate the end of term and this year’s Olympic Games in Brazil, the children staged a Rio carnival procession on Thursday, June 30.

Following a Brazillian themed day earlier in the week, they made various items such as masks and headpieces and dressed in their most colourful clothes as they paraded around the village.

After the procession they returned to school where pupils held a carnival party, taking part in activities such as drumming, dancing and getting into the carnival spirit.
