Armed men rob Irthlingborough shop

Police are appealing for witnesses after hundreds of pounds was stolen from an Irthlingborough shop.

The incident took place at about 9pm last night (Thursday) at the Costcutter in the High Street.

Two men entered the store with one remaining at the front entrance whilst the other approached the tills and jumped over the counter.

He then used a hammer to smash open two tills and removed hundreds of pounds of cash.

Both offenders then ran towards Finedon Road.

Officers would like to speak with the men pictured and are also urging two teenagers who were in the store at the time and passed by the offender at the door to come forward.
