The November 5 event at the boating lake, run annually by Corby Council in partnership with Northamptonshire Police and Fire and Rescue Services, is one of Corby’s biggest events on the calendar.

A Corby Council spokesman said: “Without the support of sponsorship this event simply couldn’t go ahead at zero cost to families which is why we are calling on businesses for their help.

“Sponsorship costs £500 and will mean that the event can remain free of charge to the people of Corby and surrounding areas.

“In recognition of sponsorship, your business will be advertised on all of our leaflets relating to the event which are distributed in and around the borough, on the Corby Council website and on advertising boards displayed in the Boating Lake Café.

“In addition, Corby Radio will regularly announce the sponsors when plugging the event.”

Any businesses interested in sponsoring or who are looking for more information, should contact Corby Council’s community recreation and events officer, Lloyd Baines-Davies, on 01536 770977, or e-mail [email protected] by Tuesday, October 2.
