Another lorry crashes into Kettering’s Rothwell Road rail bridge

Police are on the scene of another incident at the Rothwell Road rail bridge this morning (Friday, October 9).

An HGV has again hit the rail bridge at the road’s junction with Northfield Avenue.

The driver is believed to be uninjured after the top of his vehicle hit the underside of the bridge during rush hour.

There is significant damage to the vehicle.

A police statement has asked motorists to avoid the area.

Although Rothwell Road is passable, traffic is backed-up along Northfield Avenue.
