Another Higham Ferrers road closed due to dangerous wall

Another road in Higham Ferrers has been closed due to a dangerous wall at Chichele College.

Saffron Road has been closed from Wharf Road to Cemetery Lane by Northants Highways due to stones falling from the wall at Chichele College.

It comes more than a week after the closure of College Street when specialists were called in to stabilise the wall.

A spokesman for Higham Ferrers Town Council said: "These measures are required to keep the public safe.

"Thank you for your understanding and please use an alternative route."

Specialists were called in to stabilise the wall after a section of it came down earlier this month.
