Air ambulance called to 'very serious' crash between car and lorry on A605 near Oundle

The road remains closed in both directions between the Elton turn, the B671 and the Warmington roundabout.

The crash took place at 10.20am this morning (Thursday, May 11) and fire crews, police, ambulance and the air ambulance attended.

At least one person is said to have suffered serious injuries but details are still sketchy at this time.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.21am today to a report of a road traffic collision between a car and lorry on the A605 at Elton.

“A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew, ambulance officer and Magpas air ambulance were dispatched.

“They are currently on scene treating two patients.”

Motorists are asked to find an alternative route.

The collision took place at the same location as a double fatal collision on Sunday.
