600 homes affected by power cut in and around Wellingborough

Hundreds of homes have been hit by a power cut in and around the Wellingborough area.

Western Power Distribution says 600 houses have been affected by the power cut which was first reported earlier today (Tuesday).

They are hoping to have the power restored by 4.30pm.

According to the WPD website, it is affecting addresses in the NN9 and NN14 post code areas.

WPD has described it as a high voltage incident, which means these incidents tend to be larger, affecting the wider area and could mean your neighbours are off supply too.
