Payments platform Telleroo has introduced savings accounts and inbound payment capabilities, allowing businesses to manage incoming funds, payments and savings through a single platform.

Payments platform Telleroo has expanded beyond payment processing with the launch of business savings accounts and inbound payment functionality for UK businesses.

The new products are designed to help businesses earn interest on cash balances while also giving them the ability to receive payments directly into their Telleroo accounts.

The savings accounts, provided by Griffin, offer a variable rate of 3.34% AER, including a 1.34% promotional bonus available until March 31, 2027. Following the promotion, the rate will revert to 2.00 per cent AER (variable).

Telleroo said the feature is aimed at businesses holding funds for expenses such as payroll, supplier payments and HMRC obligations, enabling them to earn interest on balances that may otherwise remain unused.

Alongside the savings product, the company has launched inbound payment capabilities, allowing businesses to receive payments directly into their Telleroo account using a dedicated sort code and account number.

The feature also supports integrations with platforms including Stripe, Shopify and GoCardless, enabling businesses to automatically receive funds generated through those services.

Telleroo said the launches mark a broader evolution of its platform, bringing incoming payments, outgoing payments and savings management together in one system.

Andrew Cookson, CEO of Telleroo, said: "We've spent years helping accountants and businesses take the complexity out of making payments, but the opportunity has always been bigger than that. Businesses shouldn't have to choose between keeping money accessible for payroll, suppliers and HMRC, and making that money work harder in the meantime.

“With inbound payments, savings accounts and our own EMI licence, we're taking an important step towards bringing more of the financial workflow together in one place. And for accountants, it's another opportunity to deliver greater value to clients, without adding unnecessary complexity to their processes."

The product launches follow a key regulatory development for the company after Telleroo was granted an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence by the Financial Conduct Authority in 2025.

According to the company, the licence provides greater flexibility to expand its product offering beyond payment processing as it develops a broader suite of financial services for businesses and accounting professionals.
