Local children have helped to come up with plans for a new BMX track for West Glebe Park in Corby,

The £55k track is due to be installed at the Wessy by Corby Borough Council after children in local schools were asked to pick their favourite design.

Now the plans have gone forward to the council's planning department to be ratified with the hope that work could begin by the end of this month.

The pump track, which will be constructed using a hard surface, will replace the existing dirt track which is not useable in all weathers. The new track will also be suitable for disabled users.
