Kettering's famous park won the title at The Midlands Asian Wedding Awards (MAWA) on Thursday, December 12, in Birmingham.

The MAWA celebrates the Midlands' favourite Asian wedding companies with voting from customers and judges, it highlights excellence but also businesses that are making a difference to the South Asian market.

Wicksteed Park won from a field that included Hilton Hall, Grand Station, and Wolverhampton and Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

Wicksteed Park's head of sales and marketing, Rachel James, said: "We are a truly unique wedding venue, which combines charm, elegance, beautiful parkland and space for up to 1,000 guests with fun and the ability to create great memories.

"It is fantastic for the park to be recognised in this way, which is down to the hard work and dedication of our weddings, events and catering teams, who constantly strive to offer unsurpassed quality and give people a wedding day that they will treasure forever."

The park's Edwardian pavilion recently underwent a £2.5m renovation and restoration.

It is described as "a stunning and flexible banqueting venue" and it can hold up to 1,000 guests.

The new Terrace Suite is more intimate with a balcony overlooking the park and can hold 150 guests

The wedding venue sits in 147 acres of Grade II listed parkland and gardens.

Wedding parties can even make use of the rides for entertainment or unique wedding photos!

Rachel James added: "The fact that votes from customers themselves have contributed to our success makes it even more amazing."
