Take a look at what former Wellingborough shoe factory will become
The derelict property has been unused for decades
This grand Victorian building is being saved from decades of neglect by a developer who is converting it into 24 apartments.
The building, on the corner of Mill Road and Strode Road in Wellingborough is the former Rudlens shoe factory and was built in 1898.
After being taken over by Sudborough & Wood in 1936 it remained in use as a closing room as late as 1972.
it is now being converted into flats by the award-winning White Box team.
These pictures show what the building looks like now, and CG images of what the finished development could look like.
