Despite lockdown, and in some cases because of it, a host of premises are applying to the licensing authorities to serve alcohol in different ways.
Here are some of the latest premises in Corby, Kettering, East Northants and Wellingborough districts that have applied to the north of the county's licensing unit in recent weeks. You can view all the applications online at the Northants Central Licensing Unit.
1. Artlenock Inn, Irthlingborough
This beautiful building in Station Road, Irthlingborough, could become the Artlenock Inn after two the two local owners of Reece and Fisher Trading applied for a licence to serve alcohol at the venue.
2. The Garrison, Higham Ferrers
Fancy a tipple while you're having your haircut? When lockdown's over you might be able to after The Garrison Gentlemens Hair Tailors applied for a premises licence for their new business at Wharf Road, Higham Ferrers,
3. The Occasion Bar, Corby
Cocktails are the order of the day as Corby's Occasion Bar has applied to deliver their delicious cocktails to homes around Corby and Kettering. Although they're more used to working at weddings, they're using lockdown to branch out and deliver to people who fancy a refreshing drink in the comfort of their own home.
4. Mental Monkey, Kettering
The people behind Mental Monkey in Market Street Mews have applied for a premises licence to open a private members' club to open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. They also want to serve alcohol during the day on other days.
