Becoming a member of the Wildlife Trust is a way to support all areas of work taking place on more than 100 nature reserves as well as helping inspire people about the natural world and continue to give wildlife a voice.

The Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire has numerous nature reserves across the county, including Higham Ferrers Pits, Irthlingborough Lakes and Meadows, Titchmarsh and Wicksteed Park.

As Sir David Attenborough, President Emeritus of The Wildlife Trusts, says: “I’ve supported The Wildlife Trusts for the last 55 years.

"They’re at the heart of our national life, healing the natural world and bringing us closer to it, making wildlife accessible to those who have least.

"The Wildlife Trusts combine local action, with national impact, as part of a global vision for nature’s recovery.

"They are bringing wildlife back and restoring the natural world we love so much.

"Please support them as much as you can.”

Each member receives Local Wildlife magazine (or children's version Wildlife Watch) three times a year, information on events, local groups, walks, talks via newsletters – but the biggest benefit is knowing that local wildlife in the area, and all the conservation work involved, will be helped and maintained.

From as little as £1.75 a month, there are a variety of memberships, from child to adult to families, for more details visit www.wildlifebcn.org/
