Warwick Castle has Christmas all wrapped up with ice skating and a host of other festive events

Warwick Castle is transforming into a winter wonderland for their ‘Christmas at the castle’ event this year starting from November 21 2020 through to January 3 2021.

Visitors can have guided tours through the lavishly decorated Great Hall - where a 20 foot Christmas tree stands - and the State Rooms where they will be told stories of Christmases that have passed. Tickets for ‘Christmas at the Castle’ are priced from £16 per person.

Visitors can also venture into the castle grounds to grab warming refreshments from the Winter Stalls, which are new to the attraction this year. They will be serving a variety of festive food and drinks in a line of Christmas huts.

Adjacent to the Winter Stalls will be the ice rink, which will be set against the magnificent castle backdrop. The ice rink is making a comeback due to popular demand following its success from last year. Visitors will be able to skate for £16 per person or £25 per person coupled with ‘Christmas at the Castle’.

You can also follow the new glimmering Light Trail at Warwick castle, which winds its way around the castle grounds and gardens to tell a Christmas story of hope.

For bird lovers, one of the castle’s specialist falconers will be putting on an intimate show talking through winter birds of prey whilst they show off their aerial acrobatic skills swooping low over the audience and castle towers.

Warwick castle will also be hosting a Horrible Histories themed scavenger hunt around the castle so visitors can join Rattus Rattus to uncover hundreds of years of interactive Christmas history.

Families with little ones will also be able to head into the castle at selected times to join Santa for a Christmas story from £7.50 per person.

Families can book an overnight stay in the castle’s lodges situated in the Knight’s Village. ‘Santa’s Sleepovers’ are priced from £372 for a family of four and will be in woodland lodges alongside the River Avon where families can enjoy exclusive santa wake-up calls on selected dates and special festive evening entertainment. All stays include entry to the Castle, car parking, a hearty breakfast and evening entertainment.

Warwick Castle are ensuring the public’s safety by adhering to social distancing measures and using pre-booked time slots for all attractions.
