Nichola said: “I have a really rare condition called Proteus Syndrome, an overgrowth condition that also causes parts of my body to be deformed.

"Since I was born, I was going to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) for appointments as they specialise in rare conditions and illnesses.

"Living with a condition like this can be difficult, however GOSH has always been a safe and comfortable place where no-one was judged.

"Now that I am an adult, I want to help make other children have a fulfilling life like myself by getting the specialist treatment they need at GOSH.”

Holly is taking part because she has always been concerned with charity and helping those in need.

Now more than ever, children with life-limiting illnesses are struggling to enjoy life due to the pandemic.

Holly said: "I want to help children get the same opportunities I've had throughout life, ensuring that they have hope for the future."

Laura Savory, head of community events at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, said: “We’re so grateful to Nichola and Holly for their generosity and support.

"The money raised will help to make a difference to seriously ill children from across the UK.”

The girls have already smashed their fundraising target, raising more than £800 so far, but they would love to raise as much as possible for their two charities.
