Patients across Northamptonshire have shared their views on how they feel their GP surgery is performing in the latest GP Patient Survey, produced by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England.
More than 700,000 patients in England completed the 2025 survey, which was carried out between January and March last year, with the 2026 survey currently underway.
Patients are asked questions about a range of topics, including how easy or difficult it is to contact their practice, the quality of care, and their experience with NHS services when the GP practice is closed. It also includes questions about patient experiences of NHS dental and pharmacy services.
The results help patients see how their GP surgery is performing, allowing them to compare rankings with other GP practices in their area.
Across the country, the majority of patients described their overall experience of their GP practice as ‘very good’ (44%) or ‘fairly good’ (31%).
