Seven more Covid-19 deaths confirmed at NGH

Seven more deaths from Covid-19 have been confirmed at NGH today.

The figures from NHS England show five people died on Thursday, May 14 and two the day before on Wednesday.

It takes the total loss of life from coronavirus at NGH to 209 and the county wide total to 349.

No new deaths were recorded at KGH, where the toll stands at 140.

In care homes across the county, there have been 81 deaths recorded and at least 66 of the 250 care homes in Northants have had a Covid-19 outbreak.

There are now 1,243 confirmed cases of coronavirus across Northamptonshire, according to figures updated daily by the government. The figures were last updated yesterday (Friday) at 6.19pm.

In Northampton there are 422 confirmed cases, followed by 194 in Kettering, 162 in East Northants, 130 in Wellingborough, 121 in South Northants and 104 in Corby.
