Coronavirus deaths at KGH pass 200 as Northants records highest daily toll in England

KGH has announced the second-highest daily death toll in England today (Thursday), with six confirmed deaths.
Only NGH announced more deaths today, with seven confirmed.

Hide AdAcross England's hospitals, only 83 deaths were announced today. It means the 13 deaths in Northamptonshire's two hospitals accounts for 15 per cent of all coronavirus deaths confirmed in England today.
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust confirmed five deaths today across its five hospital sites, whereas the two trusts that run NGH and KGH both recorded higher numbers in their sole hospital sites.
It takes the total loss of life from coronavirus at KGH to 202 deaths. At NGH, 261 people have died from Covid-19.
Two of the deaths confirmed at KGH today occurred on Tuesday, June 9. Three were recorded the day before and one on Sunday, June 7.
At NGH, the seven deaths announced today occurred between Monday, June 8 and yesterday, Wednesday, June 10.
Including victims in care homes, the death toll across Northamptonshire is now 587.
