Here's one NHS supporter looking a bit clapped out over saluting our Covid-19 heroes.

The pimped Hyundai was recently reported being driven from Wellingborough to Northampton General Hospital and back complete with painted in rainbows, NHS blue land white — and most of its windows obscured.

A pair of eyes were drawn on but the driver would not have been able to see much and it's a miracle they survived without having to summon help from the same NHS they claim to support!

Police attempts to track the vehicle down had drawn a blank until today (Wednesday) when it was finally found dumped on a service road near the A6 at Higham Ferrers.

And they didn't even need to break in to tow it away.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "The vehicle was found with the keys still inside!

"It had an expired MoT, no registered keeper and was uninsured so it has been seized. The owner is welcome to come and claim it .. but we don't think they will."

Northamptonshire turned out in force to join in the weekly clap for carers every Thursday until organisers called a halt at the end of May.
