No coronavirus patients have been confirmed to have died there since three deaths on April 23, although data for more recent days is likely to change.

The hospital's deadliest days so far were April 3 and April 20, where seven patients tragically died in each 24-hour period.

Nationally today a further 552 people who had tested positive the virus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 19,301.

Patients were aged between 31 and 99 and a total of 38 of the 552 patients had no known underlying health condition.

Four deaths confirmed today took place at Northampton General Hospital, bringing their total to 144.

The actual number of deaths in the county is much higher as the NHS England figures do not include deaths in care homes or the community.

So far there has been a coronavirus outbreak at 50 of the county's care homes.

ONS data from between April 10 and April 24, released today, said there were 132 deaths recorded in care homes, 42 of which stated Covid-19 as the cause.
