How to apply for self-isolation financial support now available across Northamptonshire

If residents have been asked by Test and Trace to self-isolate and are unable to work from home, they could now be eligible for support

Local authorities have announced that self-isolation payments are now available across Northamptonshire.

The payments have been put in place to financially support residents who are told to self-isolate by Test and Trace and cannot work from home during that period.

To be eligible for the new Test and Trace support payment or self- isolation payment, residents must have been asked to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace either because they have tested positive for coronavirus or have recently been in close contact with someone who has.

They must also be employed or self-employed and unable to work from home meaning they will lose income as a result.

Eligible applicants will also need to currently be in receipt of Universal Credit, Working Tax Credit, income-based Employment and Support Allowance, income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, Income Support, Housing Benefit or Pension Credit.

Residents are also able to ask for help with other forms of support if they have no one available to help them, including urgent food deliveries, prescription collection and general support for loneliness.

To apply for the payment, contact needs to be made to the local borough or district council, which are listed below.
