A Corby GP vaccine hub serving three different surgeries has asked people who are 70 years of age and above to contact them to fill up their appointments.

Patients registered with Lakeside Healthcare (Corby or Headlands), The Studfall Partnership and Dr Sumira’s Practice can get their jab.

A spokesman for the vaccine hub said: "We currently have 280 Covid-19 vaccination appointments available tomorrow for those over 70 years and older.

"We have tried contacting all patients in this age group, some multiple times, to fill these appointments.

"If you are registered with Lakeside Healthcare (Corby or Headlands), The Studfall Partnership and Dr Sumira’s Practice and older than 70, and have not yet received your Covid-19 vaccination, please call the surgery to book in for tomorrow."

The practice has also called for patients in cohorts 2,3 & 4 - those aged 70 years and over and those classified as 'clinically extremely vulnerable' and awaiting vaccination.

A message on the practice website said: "We still have COVID-19 vaccination appointment slots available this week for patients in cohorts 2, 3 and 4.

"If you have not already booked your appointment, please contact the surgery as soon as possible so we can book you in."

They also urged people who did not want the vaccination to get in touch.

They said: "If you are in cohorts 2,3 and 4 but DO NOT want to receive the vaccine, please contact the surgery so we can update your records and remove you from our invite list.

"This will prevent us from continuing to try and contact you to book your vaccination appointment."
