An amazing Covid-19 'time capsule' left on a Burton Latimer family's staircase has gone viral.

Becky Sack, 27, decided to create the artwork when she was decorating her home in Cornfield Way before she laid carpet.

Along with partner Craig and daughter Charlotte Boyd, six, they've left a message to the next homeowners who decorate to remember the coronavirus lockdown and the moments they shared.

With a word on each step - along with a rainbow, blue NHS heart and family hand prints - the staircase reads: "When Covid-19 took over we stayed home and enjoyed time together."

Nail technician Becky, who was inspired by seeing rainbows in windows, said: "We will cover it and one day, someone will uncover it.

"It's like a time capsule, but quite a cool one."

So far the artwork has taken three hours to create and work is still ongoing.

Becky is still adding bits to each step and may add a clock showing the time as 8pm to remember the weekly 'Clap for our Carers'.

Posts on social media have gone viral with 24,000 'likes' so far.

Becky added: "We were just watching it go up and up and up...we woke up in the morning in shock. The reaction has been amazing."
