Work has started to create a state-of-the-art outdoor sports complex at a Corby school.

Plans were passed last month for the new multi-use outdoor games area at Corby Technical School, drawn up by local architects GSS Architecture.

The scheme will include the new 3,200 square-metre all-weather pitch with room for six tennis courts. There will be two changing rooms, each with the capacity for squads of 25 children, as well as an external dining area.

Alongside this, plans have also been given the nod for surrounding footpaths, a hot and cold storage contained and a new external bin area.
