New set of wheels for sixth formers at East Northants consortium
Students from Ferrers, Huxlow and Rushden Academy will benefit from use of the new minibus
Students will be travelling in style after getting a new minibus to help them access a range of different activities as well as their studies.
The East Northamptonshire College provides a sixth form consortium for pupils from Ferrers, Huxlow and Rushden Academy.
Breakdown of the 10-year-old vehicle was causing problems for the consortium of three schools and meant they were unable to transport students effectively for them to access their studies.
A spokesman for East Northamptonshire College said: "Support from the Finedon Educational Charity together with donations from the three schools (Ferrers, Rushden and Huxlow) has enabled the purchase of a new minibus.
"This has made a huge improvement to students outcomes and has enabled students to access not only their studies but wider developmental activities such as residentials, public speaking, peer mentoring, work experience, university visits and sporting competitions.
"A massive than you to the Finedon Education Charity and Ferrers, Huxlow and Rushden academy schools."
