This Christmas, Kettering Buccleuch Academy Community has demonstrated extraordinary generosity through a food parcel initiative that will support more than 100 local families.

Thanks to donations from staff, parents and students, the school has been able to provide essential food items and festive treats to households in need during the holiday season.

The food parcel project aims to bring comfort and joy to families who may be facing financial challenges during the winter period with donation boxes overflowing and volunteers working tirelessly to sort, prepare and distribute parcels in time for Christmas.

Richard Shaw, Principal at KBA, said: “We are incredibly proud of our entire school community. The kindness shown reflects the values we promote every day – compassion, unity and looking out for one another. These parcels will make a meaningful difference to families who need a little extra support this Christmas.”

One parent said: “I came to collect a food parcel today and just wanted to say thank you for doing this. The food parcel had a lovely selection of goods, I really appreciate being given one.”

As the holiday season approaches, the school extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed. The collective effort has not only supported many families but also strengthened the sense of community spirit that defines the school.
