'Some people shine too brightly to ever be forgotten' - Honour a loved one at the Cransley Hospice Trust Tree of Lights

Cransley Hospice Trust are proud to announce that their annual and much-loved Tree of Lights service is returning this year, to bring the local community together in remembrance of those who we have lost. This year’s service will be held outside the Cransley Hospice Trust Fundraising Office on the St Mary’s Hospital site in Kettering on Sunday 7th December 2025 at 6.30pm.
The charity recognise that the festive season can be especially difficult to navigate for those that have been bereaved, whenever and wherever their loss may have occurred. By joining Cransley Hospice Trust at the Tree of Lights service, the Fundraising Team hope to provide the local community with comfort, reassurance and the feeling of togetherness to ensure that no-one ever has to feel alone in their grief.
Edwin Helm, who got married to his beloved wife Liz in the hospice earlier this year, before she sadly died in the care of the Cransley team just five days later, is bravely sharing his story in support of the Tree of Lights campaign.
Edwin commented: “People at Cransley give their time to you, they’ll talk to you, create a bond with you. If you need a hug, they’ll give you a hug. It was lovely. Within days we felt we had friends here.

“The hospice really did make every last moment we had together special. It’s obviously not under joyous circumstances that you come into a hospice, but to be here was actually amazing. Please give what you can to help other people have the care that myself and Liz had at Cransley.”
If you would like to help the charity to illuminate the Tree of Lights in memory of someone you love, while supporting end of life and hospice care for those who currently need it in our community, you are encouraged to make a donation online by visiting cransleyhospicetrust.dedicationpage.org/treeoflights2025 or by calling 03000 274040.
The charity are incredibly grateful for any support you are able to show them. It’s thanks to the incredible North Northamptonshire community that they are able to continue making ‘every moment matter’ for patients and their families in the care of Cransley Hospice.
