A young competition winner has recently had their bedroom design brought to life at a new show home in Wellingborough.

Eleven-years-old Grace was announced as the winner of an interior design competition hosted by developer David Wilson Homes.

As part of the creative competition, pupils who attended The Glenvale C of E Primary School showcased their talents by creating bedroom designs suitable for a modern show home.

Grace’s bedroom design, which features a bunk bed, colourful wallpaper, house plants and a sunflower wardrobe, was selected as the winning entry by the developer, enabling Grace to secure a £100 Hobbycraft voucher for her prize.

The winning design was also implemented into one of the bedrooms in the Frampton show home at David Wilson Homes’ Glenvale Park development.

Kerry Mullen, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Northampton, said: “It has been an absolute pleasure to announce Grace as the winner of our interior design competition.

“Her striking design provided the perfect inspiration to create a beautiful and unique children’s bedroom for visitors and house hunters to enjoy.

“We would encourage those who are looking for a new home in the area to head down and visit the two show homes we have available, and of course pop in to see Grace’s excellent design in person.”

Glenvale Park is set in 200 acres of parkland and green open space, and provides residents with a range of amenities and areas to enjoy including a primary school, community centre, local convenience store and coffee shop, as well as sports pitches and a large play area.
