Northamptonshire homebuilder reaches new heights in charity fundraiser

The team smashed their target of £5,000 by raising an impressive £13,230 for the charity.

KidsAid is a Northampton-based charity that focuses on the prevention, healing and empowerment for children and families affected by abuse, family breakdown, illness, and bereavement through to anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicide.

Charlotte Cornish, Fundraising Manager at KidsAid, said: “On behalf of KidsAid, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Barratt Homes Northampton for its unwavering support and dedication to our cause.

“Through incredible fundraising efforts, the team have made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless children. Barratt Homes’ generosity and commitment inspire hope and change, and we are truly honoured to have it as a partner in our mission. Together, we are creating brighter futures.”

As Barratt Homes Northampton’s charity of the year, KidsAid will benefit from a range of corporate fundraising events taking place over the year, including a charity golf day which raised £47,000.

Those who took the 418-foot plunge included the division’s Managing Director, Simon Francis, as well as other employees from a range of departments.

Simon said: “We were delighted to complete this charity abseil to raise funds for KidsAid to help it continue its important work.

“Abseiling was a real adrenaline rush and no easy challenge, so we are very proud of the team for taking part. We would like to thank everyone who donated as we know the money will make a real difference to the charity and its beneficiaries.”
