Kettering Arrows hit the bullseye with 12-hour charity Dartathon

Kettering’s newest youth darts club, Kettering Arrows, has proudly completed its first ever 12-hour Dartathon, raising an impressive £1,500 for charity.
The marathon event, held at Burton Band Club on Saturday, saw five dartboards running non-stop from 11am to 11pm. Dozens of young players, parents, volunteers and supporters took part — with every single one-hour slot filled by the community.
Funds raised have been split equally between Spectrum Club Northamptonshire, a vital support group for autistic children and their families, and Kettering Arrows to help continue their work providing an inclusive, supportive environment for young neurodivergent players.
“It was an incredible day from start to finish,” said co-founder Emma. “Our players showed so much determination and community spirit — some even stayed far longer than their allotted time just to keep the momentum going. We’re unbelievably proud of every single one of them.”
The event was supported by local businesses, sponsors and families, with raffle donations, refreshments, and plenty of encouragement throughout the day. Co-founder Wayne added, “To raise £1,500 at our very first Dartathon — after only six months as a club — shows just how strong the Kettering community really is.”
The total was presented on a giant cheque to Spectrum Club Northamptonshire, who were “overwhelmed by the generosity and effort” shown by the young players and volunteers.
Kettering Arrows continues to grow rapidly, offering a welcoming space for young people to build confidence, develop social skills and enjoy the game of darts in a structured, positive setting.
The club would like to thank every participant, sponsor and supporter who made the Dartathon such a huge success — and confirm that plans are already underway for next year’s event.
