Help us row the Atlantic – Teamwork Trust launches new fundraising challenge
From this month Teamwork Trust service users, staff, volunteers and supporters will be rowing the Atlantic.
From October 14th through to December 6th, 2024, the Northamptonshire charity is holding a ‘Row The Atlantic’ campaign – inviting local organisations to help complete 5,835 kilometres on their state-of-the-art indoor rowers kindly donated by Amazon Leisure.
As well as inviting people into the Centres to take part, Teamwork Trust is offering to take its rower to businesses county-wide so staff can get involved without leaving their offices.
Fundraising and Volunteering Executive Judy Caine said: “We've set ourselves a target of raising £20,000 which we plan to use to help us launch new social enterprises led by our service users. Join us, sponsor us, spread the word - however you can help, we'd love to hear from you.”
Teamwork Trust has day centres in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough and supports autistic adults, people with learning disabilities and individuals with mental health needs.
IT consultancy 3RS IT Solutions have pledged their support and signed up as the campaign’s Wellingborough Centre sponsor. Teamwork Trust is now seeking other sponsors.
Judy added: "Visit one of our Centres and get rowing. We are calling local organisations to get involved and to support our staff, volunteers and service users who have already pledged their commitment to putting in those miles!
“So, if you want to send one or more staff members over to one of our Centres then we’d love to hear from you.”
