Big-hearted youth football league lends support to Hazel Leys Youth Club
A Corby youth club has been given a boost by a big donation from a local youth football league.
Hazel Leys Happening Youth Club was given a big selection of toys and resources including Nerf Guns and dart boards.
The surprise donation came from the Weetabix League, which operates kids’ football leagues across Northamptonshire.
The presents came from the league's Give a Gift Christmas appeal, which collected hundreds of donations from local people in the north of the county.
Kate Fairbairn and Fabienne Thomas from the Weetabix League visited the youth club, bringing with them toys and activity resources for the children who attend the club at the Hazel Leys community centre
Leeanne Tutty, from the club, said: “As a non-funded organisation, donations like these play a vital role in supporting the club's work within the community.
"The new resources will provide the children with a range of activities to enjoy and help keep them engaged throughout the year.
"The donations will make a huge difference.
Leeanne, Susie and Lynzi thanked the Weetabix League for their generosity and continued community support.
