Barchester’s Bayleaf Care Home partners with Wild About Huntingdon to boost local wildlife

Barchester’s Bayleaf Care Home in Huntingdon has been strengthening its links with the local community by teaming up with the community wildlife project, Wild About Huntingdon.
Steph James from Wild About Huntingdon recently visited the home to donate a beautiful range of wildlife homes — including bird houses, bird feeders, a hedgehog home, and cosy habitats for bees and ladybirds. These will be placed throughout the home’s gardens for residents to enjoy.
General Manager, Katie Wilkinson, said: “Our residents love watching all the birds in the garden, so for Wild About Huntingdon to donate these wildlife homes is amazing. We’ll be placing them around the garden over the next few days and can’t wait to see which visitors arrive to enjoy their new spaces. It’s important to look after our wildlife and help conserve all the different species.”
Steph James added: “Thank you to Bayleaf Care Home for agreeing to use your outdoor spaces to provide safe homes and habitats for wildlife. I hope your residents enjoy sharing their home with nature, and I hope they get as much pleasure as I do from watching wildlife antics!”
