A leading UK-based vegetation management training company has partnered with off-road legend Edd Cobley to bring Lantra-accredited 4x4 training to professionals across the land-based and utility sectors.
The collaboration combines VMT’s reputation for delivering industry-leading training with Edd’s decades of experience in off-road driving and recovery. Together, they will offer basic and advanced Lantra-approved 4x4 courses, designed to improve safety, competence, and confidence in challenging environments.
Helen Mallett, training department manager at VMT, said: “Our goal is to provide practical, accredited training that meets the real-world needs of our clients.
“Partnering with Edd Cobley ensures our learners benefit from the very best in off-road expertise.”
Three-time Defender Challenge Rally Champion and British Hill Rally Champion, Edd Cobley, added: “I’m passionate about helping drivers understand their vehicles and operate safely in extreme conditions.
“Working with VMT allows us to deliver structured, accredited training that raises the bar for off-road capability.”
The courses will cover everything from basic off-road handling to advanced recovery techniques and navigating steep gradients and water crossings. Training will take place at VMT’s Boughton Estate facilities, offering authentic terrain for hands-on learning.
