Top award for Kettering solicitor

A Kettering solicitor has won a top award from the Northamptonshire Law Society.

Sarah Franklin, of Sarah Franklin Solicitors and Motorsport Legal, was presented with the 'Solicitor of the Year' award on June 17 by society secretary Carolyn Coles.

The racing driver runs a niche family law practice with an office in Market Street and another in Melton Mowbray, dealing with family and matrimonial matters as well as motorsport law.

Sarah was given the award as a result of the development and expansion of the practice over the last 15 months, including her pro bono work as chair of the Kettering Town Centre Partnership and charity work raising funds for the Alzheimer's Society and the local air ambulance.

Sarah said: "I am, of course, delighted to have been given this award.

"I have a great team who have all worked extremely hard in what has been a very difficult time. It was great to get everyone together for a socially-distanced photoshoot – to include our office mascot, my miniature dachshund Milo!"
