Rushden Lakes virtual jobs fair with multiple roles on offer across the county

Job seekers from across the county will be able to meet with employers and training providers for a whole host of roles and courses, without even leaving their homes.

Visitors to the jobs fair will be able to meet with local employers who have current vacancies and training organisations live on Microsoft Teams.

In partnership with Rushden,Wellingborough,Corby and Kettering Jobcentre Plus, Recovery Through Enterprise and The Crown Estate the event takes place tomorrow (Wednesday, March 10).

Employers will talk about their vacancies and how to apply, with an opportunity to interact, engage and ask questions.

Jobs include roles at the new prison at Wellingborough HMP Five Wells with G4S to being a dinosaur wrangler at a chain of restaurants at Rushden Lakes and Kettering town centre, being a carer in a residential home and training courses with Tresham College.

Timetable:

10am: G4S – prison custody officer roles at HMP Five Wells; and Tresham College – face-to-face and virtual training courses available.

11am: CNSecurity – retail security across Northants; EvolveYourFuture – short presentations to find out more about the courses we offer in construction, self-employment, English, Maths and IT; Jurassic Grill - vacancies at the dinosaur-themed restaurant opening at Rushden Lakes and at their Kettering head office (applicants need to be 18+).

Midday: MentaurGroup – care positions available within residential homes foradults in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire; 12 noon Morrison’s positions across Northants in manufacturing and food production; 12 noon - working in the Civil Service – information on applicant process and opportunities in the civil service.

1pm: East Northants Council – Recovery Through Enterprise; 1pm – Direct Health – Domiciliary Care roles across Northants

2pm: G4S– Prison Custody Officer roles at HMP Five Wells

2pm – NHS – Find out how to make a successful application, how to shine in interviews and the value of work experience and volunteering to increase employability

2pm – National Careers Service– Information, advice and guidance to help you make decisions on learning, training and work, support with your CV.

3pm: Interaction Recruitment – Industrial /commercial temporary and permanent positions in various locations

3pm - Kier construction and highways

4pm: UtilityWarehouse– Working in your free time as much or as little as you want

4pm – Olympus Care– a variety of roles within the care sector across Northants.
