Northamptonshire Chamber launches latest quarterly economic survey

The chamber is asking businesses for feedback on their experiences of trading during the third quarter of 2015 to gain a picture of the local economy.

This gives companies the opportunity to express their views on a wide variety of issues that impact business on a daily basis.

This survey is conducted in conjunction with the British Chambers of Commerce, which makes the survey the largest and longest-running business survey in the UK.

The survey provides a powerful tool for representing the voice of business to Ggovernment.

At a national level, it’s a leading indicator – often picking up on big changes in the economy long before other surveys or official statistics.

The survey exerts influence on; The Bank of England; HM Treasury and the independent Office for Budget Responsibility.

Locally it enables the chamber to develop its key lobbying priorities and also influence MPs and local authorities.

To ensure the survey maintains its reputation as a reliable economic indicator and a powerful lobbying tool, it is vital as many businesses – members and non-members – as possible respond to it.
