Work on a new 10-unit industrial and trade counter scheme on Phoenix Parkway in Corby has now fully recommenced following the relaxation of lockdown.

Planning permission on the site owned by Clowes Developments was granted in September and it's hoped that it might be occupied by the end of this year.

Omega Court, in the Centrix Industrial and Distribution Park, will have a total of 45,563 sq ft of units ranging from 2,939 sq ft to 8,600 sq ft - with larger sizes available by joining two or more units together.

Local agents Prop-Search and TDB Real Estate are marketing the development, which is adjacent to Alpha Court, home to Screwfix, Crown Decorator Centre, Eurocell, Rexel, HSS and RB Tools.

Richard Baker, a Director at Prop-Search, said: “This is notably the town’s first speculative scheme of its kind for several years and is exactly what the market has been calling for. Even over the past couple of months with many businesses unable to trade, we have still received good levels of interest and 25 per cent of space is already under offer.”

Oliver Thompson at TDB said: “Omega Court is an exciting development for us to market and we are confident the scheme will appeal to a wide range of occupiers, demonstrating demand in the trade counter sector for high quality developments in strong locations.”

"The development of Omega Court proceeds Clowes Developments’ construction within the Park of a new 92,881 sq ft state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility for Bakeaway, one of Europe’s leading bakery operators, which completed in December 2019.”
