The play area features timber equipment including a playhouse, various climbing structures, a seesaw, rocker and slide, to provide children with opportunities for social and physical education and natural play.

The planting scheme for the park has been designed to create a diverse and naturalistic landscape, providing shelter for small animals, food for birds and flowers for insects.

Two small wildflower meadows have been sown and there are many native trees, hedges and shrubs positioned throughout the park.

"With progress at the development moving forward apace – and with almost 300 new homes now occupied at Stanton Cross – we are thrilled to be opening the first completed area of landscaped public parkland and to be providing homeowners with nine acres of space for recreation and relaxation.

“The events of the last 12 months have proven to us all just how important access to outdoor space is – both for our mental and physical well-being – and it is our sincere hope that everyone who lives and works at Stanton Cross, both now and in the future, will make the most of Grange Park and the many additional acres of green infrastructure planned for the development.

"This fantastic new park has truly been designed with the community in mind and we look forward to seeing it in use.”
