Free training and local job opportunities will be on offer to those who take part in a virtual careers fair later this month.
The event is being led by Wellingborough Job Centre Plus and supported by Enterprising Wellingborough, the economic development team at Wellingborough Council.
It is hoped it will give people in Wellingborough the chance to get personal access to local jobs and practical careers and employment advice.
The event is supported by Kier, Pet Xi, The Mallows Company, and Home Instead Senior Care.
The virtual careers fair will take place on MS Teams on January 27, with people able to speak to local employers and training partners and get advice and support to access different career pathways and free training.
Each hour a different employer or training partner will speak about their business, jobs and training opportunities.
You can book into one or more of the calls, and will get a chance to listen, learn and interact with the businesses.
There will be the opportunity to ask questions and follow up with specific details after the event.
Cllr Partridge-Underwood, deputy leader of Wellingborough Council, said: “We are delighted to be supporting this excellent opportunity for our local residents.
"What an innovative way to make sure that people can still find out about great job and training opportunities on their doorstep, without even having to leave home.
"This keeps everybody safe, as well as making sure those seeking work are really well supported.”
Jobcentre Plus said: “Following a highly successful pilot run by Kettering JCP, we are so pleased to invite Wellingborough residents to be part of this virtual careers fair.
"There will be access to free training and local job opportunities.
"The team are excited by this new way to bring together businesses and job seekers.
"We encourage anyone local who is seeking employment or training to email in and book onto the event.
"Your local Job Centre is a great place to get employment and training support in these challenging times so get in touch and access all the support from the Job Centre and our partners.”
