High demand for new housing development in Rushden

Davidsons Homes has opened a sales office to meet the high demand from house-hunters eager to buy a new home at its Sanders Fields development in Rushden.

The sales cabin, situated at the housebuilder’s nearby Diamond Heights development in Irthlingborough, is now open for one-to-one appointments.

This step follows high levels of interest in the 80 homes being built off Northampton Road in Rushden, the first of which were released for sale in February, three months early, due to the developer receiving more than 300 enquiries from home-hunters.

Although Davidsons Homes has initially been selling the selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom houses from the Diamond Heights sales office, demand has remained so high for both sites that an independent cabin for Sanders Fields customers has become necessary.

Simon Tyler, sales director for Davidsons Homes South Midlands, said: “Since construction work at Sanders Fields first began in October, we’ve continued to receive high levels of interest from a range of buyers at different stages of the property ladder.

“The site’s desirability stems from its sought-after location, close to a wealth of amenities within the town itself and at Rushden Lakes, as well as its convenient transport links to Northampton, Bedford and Kettering.

“We look forward to welcoming buyers to our new sales cabin, giving them an opportunity to discuss their options with a dedicated sales manager and become one step closer to securing a new home.”

An official sales centre and showhome are set to open on site at Sanders Fields this summer.

The first homes are also expected to be ready to move into around that time.

There is currently a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties for sale at Sanders Fields, with prices starting from £249,995.
