Helping Northants Businesses sell with heart: Corby’s sales mentor launches ‘Success to Sales’

After two decades helping others master the art of selling with empathy, Corby’s own sales specialist, Fiona Stacey, is on a mission to help Northamptonshire businesses start 2026 with confidence and clarity.
This January, she’s hosting a brand-new event called “Success to Sales” at voco Hotel, Corby Wednesday, January 15, 9am–2pm — a practical, people-first sales workshop designed especially for small to medium-sized businesses who want to build stronger, smarter sales pipelines in 2026.
Having spent over 20 years in sales and training teams across industries, Fiona Stacey decided this year to take the leap and become self-employed, launching her business as a freelance sales specialist. Her goal? To help local businesses grow through genuine connections — not pushy pitches.
“I’ve always believed that great sales come from empathy, understanding and conversation — not just closing deals,” says Fiona. “So many small businesses feel stuck because they think sales means cold-calling strangers or chasing new clients, but often the best opportunities are already within reach.”

That realisation came to life back in October, when she offered a handful of free one-hour calls to local companies. Each conversation started the same way: “We just need more clients.” But by the end of the hour, business owners were buzzing with new ideas on how to increase revenue — without even finding new customers.
Those calls sparked the idea for “Success to Sales”, a half-day, high-energy workshop packed with actionable insights on everything from sales funnels and tracking to confidence-building, quick wins, and creating a commercial calendar.
Priced at just £69, the event is intentionally accessible for local SMEs looking to start the year strong — and even includes three complimentary places for local students, offering them a first glimpse into the world of professional sales before they enter the workplace.
“Sales isn’t just about numbers — it’s about people, purpose, and planning,” Fiona adds. “I want every attendee to walk away with structure, clarity, and belief in what they can achieve in 2026.”
Alongside her freelance work, Fiona is also an active volunteer on the Love Corby marketing team and the founder of Community Connect, a friendly local networking event that has welcomed over 200 attendees in its first year.
Her strong local network and passion for community collaboration have become the foundation for her growing business — and now, with Success to Sales, she hopes to inspire even more people across Northamptonshire to rethink their approach to sales.
