Housebuilder starts work on new homes at Wellingborough's Glenvale Park

Taylor Wimpey East Midlands has started construction of its 261 homes at the Glenvale Park development.

When construction is complete, the developer will be offering a selection of one to five-bedroom homes, including apartments, terraced, semi-detached and detached properties.

These have been designed to provide a range of options for both first-time buyers and growing families.

As part of the planning agreement with Wellingborough Council, Taylor Wimpey is also investing more than £1,040,000 in the local community under the Section 106 agreement.

The contribution will be put towards secondary education, the local travel plan and improvements to the town centre.

As well as Taylor Wimpey, Barratt Homes, Keepmoat Homes and Lagan Homes will build homes on Glenvale Park, the land north of Niort Way and west of the A509 Harrowden Road.

As well as 3,000 new homes including some affordable housing Glenvale Park will have a business park providing an anticipated 3,000 new jobs, a local centre with retail and food and drink amenities, two primary schools, a community hub with a comm,unity centre, nursery, public square and family play park, as well as parkland covering more than 200 acres.
