New retailer for Rushden Lakes revealed
The High Street health and beauty chain is set to open a new store at the retail and leisure complex
Superdrug has been revealed as the latest retailer to join the line-up at Rushden Lakes.
The new shop, which is due to open its doors on Thursday, April 1, has created 21 new jobs and will offer customers the latest health and beauty products, everyday toiletries and luxury fragrances.
Superdrug is believed to be going into the unit vacated by New Look when it closed earlier this year.
The store’s health and beauty offering will include Superdrug’s own brand ranges including B. by Superdrug, Naturally Radiant, Me+, Layering Lab, suncare range Solait and baby range My Little Star.
Customers can also shop from a range of exclusive beauty and personal care brands such as MUA, GOSH, Beauty Laundrette, Tanologist and Missguided Beauty.
There will be a new fragrance counter, including promotions on perfume and aftershave by brands such as Paco Rabanne, Marc Jacobs, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana.
The new Rushden Lakes store also includes a brand new Beauty Studio offering professional treatments at affordable prices, which will open in line with the government guidelines.
Within the Beauty Studio, customers will have access to a Brow & Lash bar with tinting and eyebrow shaping, and lashes applied for special occasions.
The new store will also include a nail bar offering classic and gel manicures, and an ear piercing studio.
Nigel Duxbury, property director at Superdrug, said: “We are thrilled to be opening our new store to customers in Northamptonshire, offering shoppers access to everyday essentials at an affordable price.
"With a brand new Beauty Studio opening in line with government guidelines, luxury fragrance counter and range of popular health and beauty brands, we’re pleased to be investing in the highstreet and are sure our customers will love the new store.”
Beth Eastgate, asset manager at The Crown Estate, told this newspaper: "Rushden Lakes is looking forward to welcoming Superdrug this Spring.
"The health and beauty retailer will further enhance the popular retail and leisure destination with a wide range of cosmetics, fragrance, health products and personal care.”
The new store will be based at Unit C4 at the shopping complex and its opening hours will be 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
