Kettering town centre looks set to lose another high street brand after closing down signs were put up at Peacocks.

The clothes retailer is will be the latest big name to leave town after Marks and Spencers, Topshop, New Look, Burton and others closed down their Kettering stores.

Peacocks is owned by the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group, which declared its intention to go into administration a week ago.

The closing date for the store is yet to be revealed.

Peacocks has been contacted for comment.

The Retail Gazette reported yesterday (Thursday) that the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group are planning to shut more than 50 stores.
