Find out which shops are now open at Wellingborough's Swansgate Centre

A bakery has joined the list of stores open at Wellingborough's Swansgate Shopping Centre.

The Northants Telegraph reported on March 24 that the shopping centre had closed for all retailers apart from those selling essential items and services due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At the time, 11 stores remained open including Boots, Iceland and Superdrug.

Several more have since joined the list of shops which are open for people visiting the centre for essential items, including Don Millers.

A message on the centre's Facebook page said: "If you’ve missed your favourite bakery goodies over the past few weeks, look no further as Don Millers is back.

"However, the safety of our customers has been and will always be our top priority so the following procedures are in place.

"One person will be allowed in the shop at any time, there are markers in place to show ‘in’ and ‘out’ so no crossovers will be possible, and there is an increased frequency of cleaning regimes."

And the post went on to say: "Thank you all so much for the ongoing support during this time, we hope to see more local businesses re-open their doors soon."

Here's the updated list of which stores are open and when:

- Boots: Monday to Sat 8.30am to 5.30pm/Sunday 10am to 4pm

- Superdrug: 10am to 5pm (only pharmacy and closed on Sundays)

- Home Bargains: Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm/Sunday 10am to 4pm

- Poundland: Monday to Saturday 8am to 5pm/Sunday 10am to 4pm

- Iceland: Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm/Sunday 10am to 2pm

- Big Europe: Monday to Saturday 8am to 10pm/Sunday 9am to 10pm

- Wilko: Monday to Saturday 8am to 5pm/Sunday 10am to 4pm

- Holland & Barrett: Monday to Sunday 10am to 4pm (10am-11am for the elderly only)

- Post Office: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm/Saturday 9am to 2pm

- Don Millers: Monday to Saturday 9am to 4pm

- Cake Box: Monday to Saturday Midday to 6pm/Sunday 11am to 4pm

- Halifax: 10am to 2pm (Monday to Friday)

- Santander: 10am to 2pm (Monday to Friday)

- Specsavers: 11am to 3pm emergency appointments only (closed on Tuesdays and Saturdays)

Shoppers should be aware that this store list and the opening times could be subject to immediate change.
