Blow for fashion fans as clothing brand closing its Rushden Lakes store

A popular clothing brand is set to close its Rushden Lakes store.

It has been confirmed that British clothing brand Jack Wills is closing at the retail and leisure complex which attracts millions of visitors each year and boasts more than 40 stores and 19 restaurants.

The closure of Jack Wills, which sells men's and women's clothing, comes just a few months after Jigsaw and Two Seasons closed their stores at the shopping destination.

A spokesman for Rushden Lakes told the Northants Telegraph: “The Jack Wills store is shortly due to close at Rushden Lakes.

"Jack Wills products will still be available in the refurbished Frasers store, and we are pleased to say many of the staff from Jack Wills have been offered new roles at Frasers.”

Frasers is what House of Fraser, one of the site's anchor stores, is set to become.

And while some shoppers may be disappointed to hear that Jack Wills is closing, a number of new retailers have recently opened at Rushden Lakes.

This includes gift shop Mooch, which has moved into the former Hotter unit, and outdoor clothing giant Regatta.

The Northants Telegraph reported last week on several new names set to be joining the line-up at the shopping attraction, including jeans giant Levi's which is opening a store there next month.

Jurassic Grill, a dinosaur themed restaurant which already has a branch in Kettering, is also set to open next year.
