John Peel championed UB40, inviting them to play on his radio show after hearing their first demo tape.

Following their debut, they released almost an album ever year during the 1980s including 1983’s Labour Of Love which topped the UK charts, 1984’s Geffery Morgan and 1986’s Rat In The Kitchen.

The band’s latest Top 30 album Getting Over The Storm was awarded BBC Radio 2’s Album Of The Wee’ accolade and received five-star reviews from the UK’s music press on its release in September 2013.

UB40 consist of drummer James Brown, singer Duncan Campbell, guitarist Robin Campbell, bassist Earl Falconer, percussion and trombone player Norman Hassan and saxophonist Brian Travers.
