Stage twist for a classic novel

A timeless book has been turned into a new stage production coming to the Royal and Derngate next month.

Daphne Du Maurier’s piece is performed from Monday November 9 to Saturday November 14 conjuring Cornish romance and theatrical magic.

Following the mysterious death of his first wife, Maxim de Winter returns to Manderley with his new young bride.

Surrounded by memories of the glamorous Rebecca, the new Mrs De Winter is consumed by jealousy.

She sets out to uncover the secrets of the house and a past which is fiercely guarded by the sinister housekeeper Mrs Danvers.

All is not what it seems in Manderley... 

The cast is led by Tristan Sturrock playing Maxim de Winter and Emily Raymond as Mrs Danvers. It also introduces Imogen Sage as Mrs de Winter.

Performances at the venue start at 7.30pm each night with matinees on both Wednesday and Saturday during the week long run.
